Twin Turbo ECU Upgrade
On the turbo model, a Jim Wolf Technolgy ECU upgrade is the single most dramatic jump in power you can make without going to larger turbos (which also requires an ECU upgrade). By changing the air/fuel mapping, removing the top speed limiter, increasing the rev limit, allowing increased boost and modifying other parameters, 60 horsepower is added. Reliability is not compromised under normal aggressive driving. Add exhaust and Hi-Flow Intake System (to make the Stage 3 kit) and get a reliable 403 horsepower! Upgrade is available for 1990-95 300ZX Twin-Turbo. A core charge fee of $500 applies, and will be refunded once we receive your old ECU. APEX'I TURBO TIMER
The Auto Timer stands as a technological marvel. It allows the vehicle to idle for a preset amount of time after the ignition key has been removed. This prevents hot oil in the engine from coking (solidifying) in the lines or center section of the turbo. Proper cool down is essential for a healthy engine. The pen shaped, compact size makes the Auto Timer one of the smallest turbo timers on the market. This allows a clean and stylish installation virtually anywhere inside the car. The unique multi-angle joystick button allows easy navigation through the many feature menus.
Tech Notes: The Auto Timer can automatically determine the necessary amount of idle time. A manual mode allows the user to preset desired idling times from 0 seconds to 10 minutes in 16 increments. By inputting 02-sensor voltage, the timer can also display theoretical air fuel ratio. Since the timer uses the factory 02 sensors, which is primarily designed for emissions, the readings may not be as accurate as racing air fuel ratio monitors, but readings are very close. The timer can also display critical data such as 02 sensor voltage and battery voltage.

The naturally aspirated VG30DE will benefit with a gain in power as well as increased revs and the removal of the top speed limiter is realized. Apexi S-AVC Type R Boost Controller
The Super AVC Type R is the premium closed-loop electronic boost controller on the market. The AVC-R allows flexible control over virtually every aspect of boost control and adds new innovative functions such as injector pulse monitoring and gear specific boost control.
Some key functions include: RPM-based boost and solenoid duty cycle control, scramble boost, self learning mode, 2D ghost map trace mode, analog display mode, real time replay and peak hold data modes.
The S-AVC-R utilizes an ultra-fast microprocessor and a high quality solenoid valve to control boost. The result is ultra-fast response and accurate, stable boost control.

HKS EVC
The newest HKS EVC is a user-friendly, full-featured digital electronic boost controller that utilizes a precision “closed-loop” boost regulating stepping motor. Stepping motors are used because they can handle higher boost levels and are quicker to react to various conditions, thus offering quicker boost response and higher stable boost levels throughout each gear.
The HKS EVC can correct the signal to the wastegate several times each second, thus allowing a more rapid boost rise without overboosting. A built-in “Fuzzy Logic” program will learn the base boost curve and optimizes it for maximum response and stable boost. For instances where “Fuzzy Logic” is not applicable, it can be bypassed during initial setup. Via an illuminated knob on the head unit, the EVC is adjustable up to 2.5bar (36.25psi) of boost pressure and incorporates a white-colored backlit real time digital boost and vacuum display for precise boost calibration and monitoring.
Another new feature on the EVC is a peak-boost level hold function that allows for easy reference of peak boost levels attained. A 1-Touch “High” and “Low” boost level presets allow for multiple settings to accommodate for varying power needs. For extra boost, the scramble boost feature will add a users specified amount of boost over the current boost setting for a preset duration between 1-30 seconds. A built-in visual and audible overboost warning feature will revert boost levels to baseline if boost levels exceed the warning level entered by the user. To prevent losing all valuable data and presets, each EVC has flash memory to retain all settings and presets if power is ever removed from the unit.

The Twin Power Ignition Amplifier is engineered to produce a hotter and more efficient spark needed for high performance ignition applications. The Twin Power continuously monitors the coil to allow the ignition system to reach maximum capacity without overcharging, and also provides optimum spark duration and voltage output.
The Twin Power combines a Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI) and a Transistor Ignition into one package. The CDI is used to produce high voltage. The Transistor Ignition controls current to the coil via an impedance matching circuit, producing a longer spark duration.
